Material thickness of a part will change during the spinning process. To maintain a required material or wall thickness throughout a part; at Century Metal Spinning Co., we use the ultrasonic thickness tester to check the material thickness of parts as they are made. This gives the operator an exact measurement at any location on the part.

The use of an Ultrasonic Thickness Tester allows the spinner to check the wall thickness on a part while it is on the tool. The probe only measures the material thickness of the part, without interference from the tool.

The tester also allows us to accurately inspect difficult areas to reach, and we can download the data to the computer, for SPC data collection.
